European Communist Action: Communist Parties discuss NATO, EU and growing war danger

Communist and workers’ parties participating in the European Communist Action (ECA) met by teleconference in September for a discussion entitled “The EU, NATO, and other imperialist alliances: ‘Security providers’ or frameworks for deeper military involvement at the expense of the people?” The meeting was hosted by the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP), with the opening speech delivered by its General Secretary, Kemal Okuyan.

 

Marina Pilajeva, long-time cadre of the Hungarian Workers’ Party, passes away

Marina Pilajeva, long-time member of the Central Committee of the Hungarian Workers’ Party (Munkáspárt) and for years responsible for its international relations, has passed away.

Pilajeva represented the party in numerous international meetings of communist and workers’ parties and maintained close relations with the international communist movement.
