According to reports, police forces summoned Reem Hazan, Secretary of Haifa district of CPI, on Monday and conducted an investigation with her, ultimately deciding to close the party’s headquarters in order to prevent the screening of Muhammad Bakri’s new film “Janein Jenin” and the launching of an activity against the aggressive war on Gaza.
The pretext used by police was that "the screening is against the court's decision" and that "there is a suspicion of disorderly conduct",
The Communist Party and Hadash condemn this fascist act and reject it. The police’s decision reveals the depth of fascist practice that affects political and party activism, especially those opposing the war and government’s policy.
The Communist Party and Hadash also emphasize that their anti-war activities will continue and will be even stronger until the criminal war waged against Gaza is stopped.
Full solidarity with the comrades of the Communist Party of Israel and Hadash!
