During the discussion regarding the monthly "Conclusions of the European Council", the KKE MEP denounced the effort of Tajani to equate the fascist monster with communism and condemned the anticommunist stance of bourgeois parties in the European Parliament.
"You compete with each other on who is more anticommunist, unhistorically equating communism with fascism" said Sotiris Zarianopoulos and added: "That's how you feed the extreme-right and fascism; the iron reserve of your system. All of you have a common enemy: The people, those you are crushing".
Zarianopoulos said that the developments in the latest European Council highlighted again the huge competitions within the EU, such as in the case of Brexit and the budget of the Italian government. "At the same time- the KKE MEP added- you agree in the antipeople policy of poverty for the people and the strengthening of monopolies".
"Finally, the preelectoral dilemma posed by all of you on who is with "progress" and who is with "conservation" is a forgery" said the KKE deputy and closed his intervention by calling the people of Europe to reject the bourgeois policies which serve the interests of the capital: "The actual dictatorship of the capital, Mr. Tajani, no matter the government and with the European Union cannot be humanized".
