KKE events ahead of the 22nd Congress in the USA, Canada and Australia

In the framework of the preparation for the 22nd Congress of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), a series of events is taking place among the Greek diaspora. In North America, the Party organisations in Montreal and Toronto already held their meetings on 28 and 29 November.

The speaker was Zisis Lymberidis, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of KKE and head of the Party’s External Committee. The meetings focused on the theme: “Against anti-people policy and war preparations — with the communists on the road of struggle and overthrow, for Socialism.”

A similar event has been scheduled for New York on 2 December, at 7 p.m., at the hall of the “Kefalos Society of America, Inc.” in Long Island City.

Events for the 22nd Congress are also planned in Australia. In Melbourne, a meeting will be held on Saturday, 6 December, at 1:30 p.m., at the Cultural Centre of the Workers’ Association “Dimokritos”, 583 High Street, Northcote. In Sydney, another meeting will take place on Sunday, 7 December, at 5 p.m., at the hall of the Greek Community, 206–210 Lakemba Street, Lakemba. The speaker at these events will be Kostas Papadakis, Member of the Central Committee of KKE and Member of the European Parliament for the Party.

Through these initiatives, the organisations and friends of KKE abroad continue their activity in view of the 22nd Congress, ensuring the participation of Greeks living outside Greece in the Party’s discussions and initiatives.
