Israel-UAE-Bahrain agreement: Palestinian and Lebanese parties condemn the deal

In a joint statement issued in Beirut on September 14th, the Lebanese Communist Party (LCP) and three political parties from Palestine condemn the recent normalisation deal signed by Israel, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Washington DC.

As the statement points out the Lebanese Communist Party, the  Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) and the Palestinian People’s Party (PPP) "condemn the normalization of relationships between the Zionist entity from one side, and UAE and Bahrain from the other side".

"These agreements are sponsored by the US administration and it is expected soon that other countries will be undertaking similar steps as well. This event is believed to be an additional element in the so-called ‘ The Deal of the Century’, after the Israeli state announced earlier the annexation of Golan Heights, Shebaa Farms, Kfarchouba hills, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and the Jordan Valley into what they allegedly consider ‘ their territories’. Unfortunately, all of these actions are fully supported by USA.
Some Arab countries had clearly gave up on the Palestinian rights, and consequently announced that they will launch official relationships with the Zionist enemy. By doing so, these countries are committing acts of national betrayal which we strongly oppose and condemn. These actions are surely not approved by the vast majority of the Arab population whom they still support the Palestinian struggle to achieve independence and freedom.
The undersigned parties confirm their commitment to the national and strategic principles that would guarantee the following: the right of the Arab people to undertake resistance acts to liberate their lands, establishing an independent and autonomous Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and the right of return for all Palestinian refugees to their homelands. Moreover, the undersigned parties call on all Palestinian political factions to work on ending the internal divisions among them, and to unite their efforts on the basis on a unified programme with the resistance being its core component. Finally, these parties call on the Arab states and their populations to continue supporting the Palestinian people through all possible means".
The signining ceremony at the White House, in Washington DC, was overseen by U.S. President Donald Trump, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was joined by the UAE's Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Bahrain's Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayan.
