Communist Party of India (CPI):

The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India sends revolutionary greetings to the heroic Cuban people and Communist Party of Cuba on the 60 glorious years of the victory of the Cuban Revolution over the US-Batista dictatorship in 1959. The Party also congratulates the Cuban people and the government of Cuba led by the Communist Party for the construction of socialism facing all kinds of intimidations and onslaughts from the US imperialists.
It is the most appropriate occasion to recall the contributions of Com Fidel Castro which helped consolidate the socialist victory. Cuba has proved to the entire world that socialism is the only alternative to the capitalist system of crises and barbarism, that socialism remains as the salvation and future for humanity.
The National Council of CPI salutes the strong unity of the Cuban people in confronting the criminal blockade and subversive activities of imperialism throughout the past 60 years of the Revolution. The CPI along with other progressive and democratic forces will continue to strive hard to take the message of Cuban revolution to the people of India. A befitting programme in honour of the anniversary will be held soon in India.
The CPI National Council wises all success to the advancement of Cuba extending its sincere acknowledgement to all the efforts of PCC First Secretary Raul Castro Ruz, President Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez, and to all the office-bearers of the PCC and the government of the Republic of Cuba, as well as to the entire revolutionary people of Cuba.

Communist Party of Ireland:
1 January 2019.
The Communist Party of Ireland sends revolutionary greetings to the Cuban people and to the Communist Party of Cuba on the sixtieth anniversary of their revolution.
The Cuban Revolution has inspired millions of oppressed people around the world and in particular in Latin America. It was the first country and people in the western hemisphere to embark on the difficult road of building a new society free from exploitation, where the working class and peasants would control all economic and political power, to construct a state that is an instrument of their class power.
In sixty years they have transformed a country that was once dominated and controlled by imperialism. It had little if any national sovereignty or national democracy but was in effect a colony of the United States.
Today Cuba is a beacon of hope and an example to tens of millions of oppressed people around the world. It is a shining light in the provision of free health services and free education to all levels, free from domination by imperialism. It has laid the basis for full and true equality between women and men, between all the different races within Cuba.
For decades socialist Cuba was a beneficiary of the selfless solidarity of the Soviet Union, as a result of which it has continued to exist long after the victory of the counter-revolution in the Soviet Union itself.
The Cuban people have also been selfless in their international solidarity, sending tens of thousands of doctors and other medical personnel to all corners of the globe, to bring medical services to millions of poor people long denied access to medical care. At scenes of natural disasters around the world Cuban medical personnel are some of the first to arrive and the last to leave.
Cuba has also been a principled force in the struggle against imperialism. It played an outstanding role in the defeat of the South African apartheid army, leading to the eventual defeat of that regime.
Despite the decades-long blockade by the United States it has refused to bend the knee to its aggressive northern neighbour.
The Cuban people have overcome many hardships, and they continue to face new and difficult challenges, but face them they will, with revolutionary optimism and steadfastness.
All of humanity owe a great debt to the Cuban people and their revolution, not least because they continue to expose the lie peddled by western apologists that there is no alternative to capitalism. The Cuban people demonstrate daily that there is an alternative, and that is socialism.
The Cuban Revolution left its mark on the political thinking and actions of such inspiring heroes as Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, and Camilo Cienfuegos. Cuba will continue to write new pages in the history of the struggles of the oppressed, struggles of the international working class and anti-imperialist forces.
It is the duty of the working class internationally to offer the maximum solidarity to the Cuban people. Victories for the Cuban working class are victories for the international working class and for all oppressed peoples.

Philippines Communist Party (PKP 1930):
Esteemed Comrades,
The Partido Komunista ng Pilipinas (PKP-1930, the Philippine Communist Party) salutes the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Cuban Revolution which is being celebrated today, and sends warmest comradely greetings to the Partido Comunista de Cuba (PCC), the government of the Republic of Cuba, and the revolutionary people of Cuba.
The victory of the Cuban Revolution over the US-Batista dictatorship in 1959, and the subsequent construction of socialism in Cuba, are of great historical significance, and are important examples for all the peoples who are struggling to free themselves from imperialist bondage and capitalist barbarism.
Cuba’s example of socialist development --- the consolidation of working class power, the socialization of the means of production, the great sacrifices to defeat imperialist attempts at intervention and interference, and the self-reliant attainment of great scientific and socio-cultural advances for the benefit of the people --- is another important confirmation that the socialist system is the only alternative to the capitalist system of crises and barbarism, that socialism remains as the salvation and future for humanity.
We salute the strong unity of the Cuban people, under the leadership of the PCC, in confronting the criminal blockade and subversive activities of imperialism throughout the past 60 years of the Revolution. We particularly salute revolutionary Cuba’s selfless display of solidarity with many peoples in need, its past assistance for the anti-colonial struggles in northern and central Africa, its internationalist contribution towards ending the abominable system of apartheid in southern Africa, and its continued assistance even today in affording health and educational services to many peoples in developing countries.
Cuba’s staunch defense of its independence and sovereignty, and of its right to self-determination, will continue to inspire our Party in the struggle against imperialism, and for peace, national freedom, people's democracy and socialism. The Cuban Revolution, a great milestone in the history of the 20th century, will always serve during the present century as one of the greatest examples of the vitality of Marxism-Leninism, of the importance of proletarian internationalism, and of the great contribution of the communist movement in forging human progress.
On this occasion, we reaffirm our commitment to constantly promote awareness of the truth about Cuba, and to continue working for the widening and strengthening of the solidarity movement with Cuba in our country. The PKP-1930 will continue to stand in solidarity with the Cuban revolution in the struggle to frustrate and defeat every imperialist attempt at intervention and interference ; in the struggle against the criminal US blockade ; and in the struggle for the return of the Guantanamo naval base to Cuban sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Finally, we wish every success and more progress and prosperity for Cuba, and the best of health to PCC First Secretary Raul Castro Ruz, President Miguel Diaz Canel Bermudez, and to all the office-bearers of the PCC and the government of the Republic of Cuba, as well as to the entire revolutionary people of Cuba.
With communist greetings,
ANTONIO E. PARIS
General Secretary.

Partido Comunista Paraguyao:

Presidente                                                Secretario General
PARTIDO COMUNISTA DE CHILE.

AKEL (Cyprus)

On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the victory of the Cuban Revolution, the General Secretary of the Central Committee of AKEL Andros Kyprianou sent the following message to the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba comrade Raul Castro, and to the President of the State Council and Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba comrade Miguel Diaz-Canel.

To: The Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba, Raul Castro

Dear comrade,

On the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the Victory of the Revolution, I convey to you the warm and militant greeting of solidarity of AKEL towards the people and the Communist Party of Cuba. The 1st January 1959, which marked the overthrow of Batista’s dictatorship subservient to the US and the beginning of socialist construction in Cuba, represents a glorious historic milestone for the world revolutionary movement, for the struggles of the peoples all over the world for freedom, independence and popular sovereignty.

Throughout these 60 years, the Cuban Revolution has not only withstood the aggression, blockade, and subversion, but has recorded remarkable achievements in education, health, social welfare, the position of women, sport, culture and popular participation. Furthermore, the thousands of humanitarian missions and educational assistance offered to dozens of countries around the world, in combination with Cuba’s policy based on principles and the solidarity it has pursued in its foreign policy, express in a concrete manner the deepening of the internationalist and humanistic content of the Revolution. We particularly appreciate the consistent solidarity of Cuba and the Communist Party of Cuba towards the struggle Cyprus is waging against imperialism, the foreign occupation and division.

AKEL expresses its trust towards the Communist Party of Cuba in the process of updating the economic model of the country in order to strengthen and deepen socialism. We salute the procedure of popular consultation on the constitutional reform with the mass participation of Cuban citizens, a fact which confirms that the socialist construction in Cuba constitutes a choice and cause of its own people.

The return of the US to the tactics of open aggression against Cuba, as expressed by the Trump Government, the rhetoric of the new President of Brazil, but also the various anti-Cuban resolutions of the Right and ultra-right wing in the European Parliament, are a reminder that the overthrow of the Cuban Revolution continues to be a goal for international imperialism. On behalf of AKEL, you can count on our steadfast firm solidarity towards the struggle for the abolition of the American blockade against Cuba and for the return of the territory of Guantánamo to Cuba, so that the sovereignty of Cuba and the choice of its people for the country’s path of development is respected.

Dear comrade,

The Cuban Revolution has been written in world history as a page of patriotism, humanism and internationalism; a page of dignity, heroism and selflessness. It is a flame that inspires not only Communists, but also every person and every people of the world struggling for a better future; a future of peace, freedom and social justice.

Andros Kyprianou, General Secretary of the Central Committee of AKEL.
