"The United States and its partner Israel, through the attacks they have been carrying out against Iran for days, have now taken steps to draw our country into the war they initiated.
The recent alert in Cyprus following threats of Iranian drone and retaliatory missile strikes once again exposes a dangerous reality that governments in Athens and Nicosia persistently attempt to obscure: the presence of U.S., NATO and British military bases turns both Greece and Cyprus into potential targets in an expanding imperialist war.
For days now, the wider region has been moving ever closer to the possibility of a generalized confrontation in the Middle East. The escalation triggered by the aggressive policies of the United States and Israel against Iran has already created a climate of extreme tension across the entire Eastern Mediterranean.
The recent attack on the British bases on our island confirms the dangers that their presence poses to Cyprus and our people. We call on the government to convey to the British government that Cyprus and its people oppose any kind of military involvement of the bases in any conflicts in the region.
Cyprus is dangerously being turned into a target for retaliation through the British bases. "Dear Compatriots!
Early this morning, our country was attacked by extensive missile and air strikes by the racist Israeli government and the United States. “The new military attack by the state of Israel and the United States against Iran is a condemnable and criminal act that brings closer the prospect of a generalized war in the Middle East and the broader region.
tatement of the Tudeh Party of Iran: The Specter of Another Catastrophic War, the Intensifying Repression of Popular Protests, and the Responsibilities Before UsIran and the broader Middle East once again stand on the brink of ominous and dangerous developments. What now darkens the horizon of the near future is the real possibility of a catastrophic military confrontation that could be initiated by U.S. imperialism and the criminal government of Netanyahu.
The KKE condemns the threats and war preparations of US imperialism and the state of Israel for a new attack against Iran, as demonstrated by the build-up of massive firepower in the Persian Gulf. The region is at the centre of the storm of imperialist competition and could at any moment be engulfed in the flames of imperialist war.
“The Greek government must, without hesitation, reject Trump’s invitation to the upcoming meeting of the so-called “Board of Peace”, whose aim is to implement the plan to turn Gaza into a US–Israeli protectorate and an “El Dorado” for investments, in which there will be no place for the homeland of the long-suffering Palestinian people.

The Communist Party of Israel leading member, who has been suspended from Israel’s parliament for 10 months of the last two years because of his public denunciations of the Gaza genocide, described how Jewish settlers “in a chilling imitation of other Nazis” set fire to a mosque last week in the occupied West Bank.
When U.S President Donald Trump addressed the Knesset on October 13, he did not merely deliver a diplomatic speech; he performed a spectacle of power designed to reassert U.S. hegemony in the region under the guise of peace.
His words, wrapped in a language of faith and reconciliation, revealed the fundamental logic of imperialism: domination disguised as partnership, subordination repackaged as sovereignty.
As President Trump addressed the Knesset, receiving thunderous applause for his hawkish vision, Odeh and Cassif stood.
