Tudeh Party of Iran calls all peace-seeking forces to mobilize against military conflict

In a statement, the Central Committee of the Tudeh Party of Iran highlights the danger of a military conflict with Iran is mounting and calls the peace-loving forces to mobilize against such a scenario.
Dear compatriots,
With the appointment of Mike Pompeo, the former director of the CIA, as the United States Secretary of State and John Bolton as the National Security Advisor of the Trump administration - both of them from the neo-con faction and radical warmongers in the United States - and then Mike Pompeo’s recent trip to the Middle East and his meetings with the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister of Israel, the tensions between the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia on the one hand, and the Islamic Republic of Iran on the other have taken extremely dangerous dimensions.

Tudeh Party of Iran slams Khamenei and the anti-revolution theocratic regime

Mr. Khamenei, it is you and the rule of the disastrous theocratic regime that are anti-revolution!
  • Greetings to the workers of the National Steel Company in the city of Ahvaz,in their heroic and steadfast struggle, and all the workers and working people of the nation!
  • The Supreme Leader of the theocratic regime should be reminded that the definition of anti-revolutionary is clear. It is the force that diverted the revolution from the path of its core slogans for freedom, sovereignty and social justice, and which has imposed the rule of a medieval and despotic theocratic regime on the nation.

Intervention of the KKE in the European Parliament about the situation in Iran

During the discussion about the ongoing developments in Iran which took place at the Plenary of the European Parliament in Strasburg, the KKE MEP Kostas Papadakis made the following intervention:

"The developments in Iran cannot be addressed separately from what is being unfolded in the broader region by the interventions of powerful imperialist powers. The alliance of interests of Iran with Syria, Iraq, Russia and Turkey causes intense competition - for Iran's nuclear program too- with powers such as the USA, the EU, Israel and Saudi Arabia who see their own interests being affected in the broader region. Both the EU and her governments play a special dangerous role.

The World Federation of Democratic Youth express its solidarity and support to the youth, students and people of Iran that are currently in front of repression, violence and oppression by the police and the paramilitaries of their country.
The last two weeks the youth and the people of Iran, have been demonstrating and developed a difficult struggle in the streets of more than 70 towns of the country, for their rights against the economic, social and cultural policies of the regime.

Policies which have brought high prices on basic consumer goods, huge unemployment, widespread privatisation and extreme poverty on a mass scale. They are standing against the violations of the regime on the human and democratic rights of the people, on the same time that they oppose the anti-popular policies and conventions against the workers.

Iran Protests- Tudeh Party appealing for the release of more than 1500 arrested in Iran (تظاهرات ایران)

A broad campaign must be organised for the release of hundreds of students, working people and freedom fighters in Iran who have been detained by the repressive forces in recent days.
As anticipated, the anti-people and dictatorial theocratic regime of Iran have proceeded to deploy large squads of the Guards Corps, Basij militia and the mercenaries of the security forces to violently repress the protest movement of the youth and working people of our nation. As has been the case in recent years, the response of the heads of the dictatorial regime to the people - who are frustrated by the poverty, deprivation, oppression, corruption and lack of freedom - is to accuse them of association with foreign powers and then fire at and detain them.

Iran-Turkey: "The alternative to the mullahs and imams doesn't have to be the Yankee" (Kemal Okuyan)

Kemal Okuyan, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Turkey and soL columnist, wrote on the political situation in Iran and Turkey on the occasion of the New Year.

How did Iran and Turkey enter the New Year?

We've entered the New Year. It was a New Year's on which the political power terrorised the country saying "don't enter the New Year; enter your home", some caricatural characters kept watch on the roofs to beat up Father Christmas, the minimum wage that is kept at a certain level dooming the people to poverty was praised to the skies, and it was announced that a little more "poison" was to be added into ethyl alcohol to prevent alcohol production at home.

Iran Protests: Tudeh Party supports people's struggle, strongly opposes any kind of foreign intervention

The CC of the Tudeh Party of Iran (حزب تودۀ ایران‎) issued a third statement about the developments in the country. Also, read the first statement and the second statement
• The regime’s plots to violently and bloodily suppress the protest movement of the frustrated people must be prevented through an organised struggle and united action.
• We strongly oppose any kind of foreign intervention in Iran and believe that the right-wing and racist leaderships of Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu and the criminal and reactionary regime of Saudi Arabia, are no friends to the people of Iran and certainly do not strive for freedom, independence and social justice in our homeland.

Hillary Clinton: The portrait of an imperialist war criminal

Hillary Rodham Clinton. The so-called "lesser evil". The U.S. Democratic Party's Presidential nominee. The possible first U.S. female President. The supposed counterweight to Trump's right-wing extremism.

Last June, on the occassion of CPUSA's endorsement of Mrs.Clinton, we were pointing out: "Hillary Clinton, like Donald Trump, is a choice of the U.S. monopoly capital, of the country's bourgeois class, for the position of the President. Mrs.Clinton's service as Obama government's Foreign Secretary is known and has been proved disastrous: Libya, Haiti, Honduras, Iraq, Syria, Yemen. The people of these countries know, better than anyone, what Imperialism means and what was Clinton's contribution in war crimes".

If we had to draw Clinton's political portrait that would be a portrait of an imperialist war-monger, a champion of hawkish aggression.

From her stance as a First Lady to her voting record as a Senator and from her service as Obama's Secretary of State to her Presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton has proved her role as a ruthless promoter of U.S. Imperialism.
