STATEMENT AGAINST IMPERIALIST AGGRESSION 

UNITY IN DEFENSE OF THE HOMELAND!

The political parties and social movements below signed, members of the Popular Anti-imperialist and Anti-fascist Front (FPAA), condemn the onslaught of US imperialism, in partnership with the European Union and the Group of Lima, against our nation. Their actions represent an act of provocation and interference that violates the sovereignty and peace of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and across Latin America and the Caribbean. 

European Communist Initiative: Solidarity with the people & the CP of Venezuela

Statement of the Secretariat of the Initiative of Communist and Workers' Parties of Europe in solidarity with Venezuelan people and the CP of Venezuela.

The Secretariat of the Initiative condemns the coup d'etat of the USA, their allied governments and of the Organization of American States (OAS) for the overthrow of the elected President Nicolas Maduro and for the support of the leader of the reactionary forces Juan Guaidó, who proclaimed himself president of the country with their support.

This coup d'etat is a continuation of the planned longterm campaign of destabilization of the country to promote the imperialist designs in the Latin America region and to overthrow governments that are not likable to the USA-NATO and the EU, with the latter intervening in the domestic affairs of Venezuela, supporting the reactionary forces and participating the the scheme to overthrow the elected government.

Venezuelan communist and campesino activist Luis Fajardo assassinated in Mérida

In a press release issued yesterday by the Political Bureau and signed by the General Secretary Oscar Figuera, the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) announced the assassination of the Party's Central Committee member Luis Fajardo. 

According to the statement, Fajardo was with his brother-in-law, Javier Aldana, making their way home on a motorbike, when they were killed by a burst of gunfire from a moving car. 

The incident took place in Las Palmas, at the Nueva Bolivia municipality of the state of Mérida. 

The PCV added that the Party held landowners, as well as corrupt members of the National Guardsmen and politicians, responsible for the crime, while demanding from the government to carry out a thorough investigation on Fajardo's assassination.

Venezuela's Communist Party denounces provocation against deputy Yhon Luna

In a statement issued on August 16th, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) denounces a provocative effort against its member Yhon Luna, who is allegedly linked to "terrorist, fascist, corrupt and anti-national activities". 

The PCV "strongly and forcefully reject any attempt to link the Communist Party of Venezuela or any of its leaders and militants with terrorist, fascist, corrupt and golpist actions, as it happens in the case of the campaign that has been publicly developed against our comrade Yhon Luna, member of the PCV Central Committee and the Regional Commitee of the Tachira State, (also) deputy of the legislative council."

KKE condemns the assassination attempt on President Maduro, denounces imperialist interference in Venezuela's internal affairs

In a statement regarding the assassination attempt against the President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro, the Press Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece mentions the following:

"The KKE condemns the assassination attempt on the President of Venezuela Maduro and denounces any foreign intervention in Venezuela's internal affairs.

The Politburo of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) congratulated the successful convening of the 9th National Assembly of the Workers and Class Struggle Unionist Movement, organized by the National Front of Working Class Struggle (FNLCT) this past July 7th.

The Assembly adopted a program to bring about a revolutionary solution to the crisis currently facing the Venezuelan people, and approved a plan of struggle that promotes the largest and broadest mobilization of workers in alliance with the people’s and campesino movements.

Venezuela: The Communist Party (PCV) will back the candidacy of Nicolas Maduro

According to Prensa Latina, the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) announced that it will back the candidacy of President Nicolas Maduro, in an effort to work for the development of the country and the people. 

A week ago, the resolution of the PCV's 14th National Conference had proposed a "PSUV-PCV Unified Pact" based on a "broad coalition of political and social forces". 

According to an agreement released yesterday by the national press, the pact includes 17 actions in order to protect social struggles, safeguard the rights of the working class and the projection of more social, economic and political initiatives.

Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) offers conditional support to Nicolas Maduro

While the aggressiveness of the United States, the EU and other Latin American countries against Venezuela's social democratic PSUV government continues, political preparations for the April 22nd presidential elections have already started. 

The 14th National Conference of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV), which was held last weekend in Caracas, evaluated the current political, social and economic situation and discussed the Party's stance in the upcoming elections. The PCV's Conference Resolution talks about "a broad coalition of political and social forces” as part of a "PSUV-PCV Unified Pact" in order to tackle "Venezuela's dependent and rentier capitalism with anti-imperialist, patriotic and popular political and socio-economic actions".

Venezuela: Libertad para el joven comunista Alí Jiménez - Solidarity with Venezuelan communists!

Through a statement, the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) has strongly denounced the arrest and detention by police authorities at San Juan de los Morros, of Alí Jiménez, member of the National Directorate of the Communist Youth of Venezuela (Juventud Comunista de Venezuela). 

PCV demands from the government of Nicolas Maduro the immediate release of the young communist, as long as Jiménez's guilt has not been proved and points out that behind the detention of JCV's cadre are reasons related to political retaliation. 

Jiménez was arrested on December 21st in the city of San Juan de los Morros, at the state of Guarico, when he was trying to intercede for local residents who were protesting. 

The KKE responds to the slanderous lies of Carmelo Suárez's group (Comentario en español)

The International Relations department of the CC of the KKE issued a statement (commentary) replying to the recent slanderous delirium of the opportunist "Carmelo Suárez faction". Surpassing all limits, the Suárez faction shamelessly involves a third party (Communist Party of Venezuela) in order to vilify the KKE and the Communist Party of Mexico. 

In a recent article under the title "The declaration of Caracas as a necessity of the historical moment in Venezuela", the group of C. Suárez unleashes a provocative slanderous attack against the Communist Parties of Greece (KKE) and Mexico (PCM) for not being among the signatories of a random declaration of solidarity towards Venezuela.

KKE politburo member G.Marinos in Venezuela: "We must walk on the steps of the October Revolution"

In the 15th Congress of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) which took place between 22 and 25th of June in Caracas, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) was represented by its Political Bureau member Giorgos Marinos and Dimitris Karagiannis, member of the international relations section of the CC and journalist in 'Rizospastis'. 

On June 21st, the PCV organised the 2nd International Ideological Seminar with the subject being "The timeliness of Lenin in the 100 years of the Great Socialist Revolution", in which 18 Communist and Workers Parties participated.

The KKE expresses the warmest comradely greetings of the Greek communists to the 15th National Congress of the PCV .

Our parties all these years have developed very close, bilateral comradely relations of cooperation. We have met together in the efforts to overcome the difficulties, for the theoretical and ideological regroupment of the international communist movement, the reinforcement of Marxist-Leninist orientation in its ranks, for the creation and publication of the International Communist Review. We have waged battles together to defend the communist identity of the IMCWP and to preserve its communist characteristics. We have devoted significant forces to developing the anti-imperialist struggle and solidarity, to strengthening the international anti-imperialist organizations.

Open letter by the Communist Party of Venezuela: Defeat the Coup Against the Bolivarian Republic

An open letter to the people, from the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV).

To our compatriot Nicolas Maduro, President of the Republic; to the working class and working people of the city and countryside; to the patriotic officers, classes, and soldiers of the National Bolivarian Armed Forces; to the national leadership and militancy of the political parties and popular organisations of the Great Patriotic Pole, including the United Socialist Party.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela finds itself threatened yet again by acts of political violence from sectors of the extreme right as part of the execution of a destabilising plan elaborated by North American imperialism.

KKE: Full solidarity with Venezuela's Communist Party, denounces electoral ban threats

In a statement, the Press Office of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) expresses its solidarity to the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) and denounces the threats by the National Electoral Council to exclude it from the elections:

"The KKE denounces in the most decisive way the threat of ban of the CP of Venezuela by the country's National Electoral Council, firmly standing by the side of the communists and will strengthen the efforts for the mass expression of the international solidarity. 

Venezuela's Communist Party (PCV) denounces efforts to exclude it from elections

The Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) is going to challenge new electoral authority rules in court this week which threaten to exclude it from elections. During the weekend the party denounced the new National Electoral Council (CNE) rules which require parties to submit full membership lists for publication on the authority’s website — or be deregistered and barred from elections. 

According to the Communist Party of Venezuela the recent decision is based on a 1965 law, when the then bourgeois governments (including Romulo Betancourt's one) had unleashed numerous persecutions against members of the Communist Party which was outlawed. The General Secretary of PCV Oscar Figuera stated that the Party will seek an injuction from the Supreme Justice Tribunal against the rule of the National Electoral Council.

The Communist Party of Venezuela holds two seats in the opposition-controlled, 167-member National Assembly, and forms part of the Great Patriotic Pole bloc led by President Nicolas Maduro’s United Socialist Party.

the KKE denounces the harmful for the Venezuelan people provocative plans of creating tension that reactionary opposition forces are promoting, through the dangerous call for “peaceful” seizure of Caracas on September 1^st. These moves coincide with the escalation of the interventions against Venezuela, both from the Organisation of American States and the United States and the EU, such as the extention by the President of the USA of the unaccaptable decree which targets Venezuela as a threat against the US national security.

Dear comrades,

We express our internationalist solidarity to the working class and the popular strata of your country who are facing with the consequences of the capitalist economic crisis as well as the increasing aggressiveness of Imperialism and the reactionary forces.

KKE denounces every attempt of intervention in the domestic issues of Venezuela, such as the one which is manifested within the framework of the OAS (Organisation of American States), as well as the military provocations by the US and their allies, the open targeting by the US, NATO and the EU, alliances in which our country participates and fulfilling a negative role for the people.

Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV): Against fascism, class-appeasement and corruption! The option is Socialism!

In a published statement the Communist Party of Venezuela (Partido Comunista de Venezuela) expresses its greetings to the workers of Venezuela and the world on the occassion of the International Workers Day. 

Among other things, PCV's statement points out: "As it happens historically, the working class and peoples of the world bear on their shoulders the burden of the crisis of the capitalist system in its imperialist phase, while the governments of the hegemonic powers, mainly the United States and the European Union, continue their offensive against the people and national liberation processes. Monopoly capital and the governments and institutions seek to serve out of the crisis of the system with more violence and greater social injustice. The class contradictions have been sharpened in all over the  world, including particularly in Latin America".

The PCV accusses US Imperialism- as well as their collaborators in Latin American countries- for trying to restore the power of the monopolies, by supporting the implementation of neoliberal policies. For these plans, reformist petty-bourgeois parties have been a useful tool.

Solidarity Declaration with the Venezuelan People - Declaración de Solidaridad con el Pueblo Venezolano

The Communist, Revolutionary and Workers Parties of the world, express our strong support and firm solidarity to the VENEZUELAN PEOPLE, the Government of the Constitutional President Nicolas Maduro Moros, the Communist Party of Venezuela, and the Committee of International Solidarity (COSI), member of the Executive Committee of the World Peace Council (WPC), victims of an abominable and new interventionist escalation by the US imperialism which means the prelude to a declaration of war.

The "Executive Order" was renewed on March 3^rd, 2016 by the President of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama, which extends and expands the possible actions of the major State aggressor on sovereignty and self-determination of peoples, against the political and social process in Venezuela, in which a "national emergency" against an alleged "unusual and extraordinary threat to national security and foreign policy of the US" is declared.
