KKE: Solidarity with the people of Sudan

In a statement (here in Greek) about the developments in Sudan, where the military seized power and dissolved civilian rule, the Press Office of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) points out the following:

“The KKE expresses its full solidarity to the suffering people of Sudan, the working class and the comrades of the Sudanese Communist Party, who are experiencing another coup. 

Swaziland's dictatorship intensifies brutality against anti-monarchy protesters

On Sunday night, 15 August 2021, King Mswati’s soldiers tossed a young man, Mcebo Mamba, into a raging fire and severely assaulted him with sjamboks.

The assault followed a protest action in Zombodze Emuva in the Shiselweni region, Swaziland, also known as Eswatini. During the protest, burning tyres had been placed on the road. The soldiers picked on Mamba, without any evidence as to his involvement in the burning and forced him into the fire.

Swaziland's King Mswati III regime intensifies oppression — Communist Party statement

In a statement addressed to all communist and workers' parties, the Communist Party of Swaziland refers to the current socio-political situation in the country. The statement reads:

"The Communist Party of Swaziland (CPS) calls on all communist and workers’ parties to be alert to and to express solidarity concerning the new situation in our country, as pro-democracy protests are now gathering pace, and as the autocratic regime of Mswati III is clamping down fiercely and bloodily on its opponents.

Kenyan police storms Communist Party offices in Nairobi

In an arbitrary move Kenyan police stormed on Wednesday 7 April the headquarters of the Communist Party of Kenya in Nairobi and proceeded to the arrest of party members. 

 

The operation of the police took place without any court warrant. 

According to the Communist Party, the police officers were intent on breaking into the strong room where key party records are kept. 

Swaziland's Communist Party (CPS) to hold its 4th National Congress on 2-4 April

The Communist Party of Swaziland (CPS) will hold its 4^th National Congress from Friday 2 April to Sunday 4 April 2021 under the theme Decisive mobilisation for Democracy Now. The CPS will greatly appreciate messages from the International Communist and Workers’ Parties to the CPS 4^th National Congress.

The CPS Congress will review the work of the Party since the previous Congress, analyse the current situation in Swaziland, engage in thorough analysis of the Party’s progress thus far as well as the condition of the oppressed people and revolutionary forces in the fight against the tinkhundla system and imperialism. The Party will also elect its national leadership.

Swaziland communists struggle for women's rights, denounce Mswati regime autocracy

In the tiny landlocked south African country of Swaziland (also known as Eswatini), the local Communist Party is fighting for democracy, workers rights and women's emancipation against the autocratic monarchical regime of Mswati III. 

In a statement published on December 1st, the Communist Party of Swaziland refers to the deepening crisis in the country, the treatment of women as objects of sexual exploitation and Mswati’s insatiable thirst for splendour. 

Sudan Uprising: The Communist Party calls for internationalist solidarity against conspiracies

The following is a statement issued by the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Sudanese Communist Party: 

- World imperialism, in collaboration with regional reactionary Arab governments and Sudanese army generals, staged a classical palace coup in a vain attempt to abort the victorious people’s march towards uprooting the dictatorial regime.

- The coup leaders who ousted Albashir declared a state of emergency for three months and ordered the masses of protesters to stay at home with the introduction of a curfew from sunset until morning. Millions of protesters have continued their daily mass actions, defying the curfew imposed by the new military junta.

Solidarity with the detained cadres of the Communist Party of Swaziland!

In a statement the Communist Party of Swaziland has denounced the arrest of two Party cadres, Mcolisi Ngcamphalala and Njabulo Dlamini, by the local authorities. The full statement is the following:

Today – 11 January 2019 – at around 10h45 the royal Swaziland police arrested two leaders of the Communist Party of Swaziland (CPS), claiming that they were jaywalking. The leaders are Deputy Chairperson Comrade Mcolisi Ngcamphalala and International Organiser Comrade Njabulo Dlamini. They were arrested in Manzini on their way to attend a teachers’ meeting in their capacity as leaders in one of the branches of their union, the Swaziland National Association of Teachers.

The KKE expresses our support and solidarity with the struggle of the Sudanese people for democratic and social rights against the bourgeois dictatorial regime.

Protests in Sudan - Communist Party cadres have been detained by the authorities!

Yesterday the 25th of December was the day Khartoum became the centre of the mass protest actions. The protest march called by the professional bodies turned into a great mass demonstration which started at 1pm and continued late into the night. The masses were denied reaching their target of presenting their memorandum to Albashir by the heavy presence of armed security forces around the Republican Palace.

The demonstration which started in central Khartoum, soon spread to other residential areas around the capital. The battles between the demonstrators and the security forces moved from the main roads to the streets and lanes of the capital.

Swaziland: The Communist Party blasts Mswati dictatorship for workers' suicides

In a statement issued on August 8th, the Communist Party of Swaziland slams the dictatorship regime of King Mswati III for the continuous suicides of workers in the country:

The toiling masses of Swaziland are not surprised by the suicide of a young teacher on 5 August 2018 after the Swaziland government failed to pay him for three months. Yet again, Mswati has blood on his hands.

KKE expresses solidarity with the people of Sudan, condemns government's repression

In a statement the International Relations section of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece expresses its solidarity to the communists and the people of Sudan and condemns the local government's repression.

The statement points out: "The KKE condemns the antipeople measures taken by the government of Sudan in coordination with the IMF and the World Bank, which deteriorate even more the living standards of the country's working class and popular strata.
