According to TKP’s announcement, the rally will be held on 5 July under the slogan: “NATO means death and dishonor; long live peace, independence and socialism!” The party called on the people to gather before the summit and deliver a strong warning to the imperialists.
TKP stated that the AKP government is preparing to bring life in Ankara to a halt for the NATO summit. The party stressed that since its foundation, NATO has served as an instrument of war, occupation and destruction against peoples across the world.
The statement underlined that NATO’s imperialist plans, as well as its calculations concerning Turkey, must once again be confronted in Ankara. TKP warned that the summit will mark a new stage in drawing Turkey deeper into plans of war and destruction.
Calling on patriots to join the 5 July mobilization, TKP declared that those gathering at the rally will show NATO’s imperialists that neither Turkey nor the peoples of the world are helpless or without defenders.
The party concluded its call with the slogans: “NATO means death and dishonor!”, “Long live peace, independence and socialism!” and “We meet at the great anti-NATO rally on 5 July!”.
