KKE condemns the new intervention attempt by mercenaries against Venezuela

In a statement the International Relations Section of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) condemns the new infiltration attempt by mercenaries against Venezuela

More specifically the statement, which was published in 902 portal, reads:

“The KKE condemns the new intervention attempt in Venezuela by paramilitary group of mercenaries based in Colombia whose aim, according to the statements of the paramilitry group's leader in social media, was to cause sabotages and murder members of the Venezuelan government. The group of mercenaries-murderers was countered by Venezuela’s security forces.

Condemn U.S. arrogant and criminal policy against Venezuela amidst Covid-19 pandemic

While the world is facing COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. government intensifies its arrogant and criminal policy against the people of Venezuela. Except from the extention of economic sanctions imposed against Venezuela, the U.S. State Department announced indictments against President Nicolas Maduro and other Venezuelan officials, whom the Trump administration accuses of having ties to international drug trafficking networks.

Venezuela: STOP the persecution of communist trade unionists!

On February 17th, the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) and the National Front of Working Class Struggle (FNLCT) issued a statement denouncing the acts of aggression, repression and police harassment against communist trade unionists in the oil industry. 

More specifically, trade unionists Dolores Herrera and Gustavo Yánez, members of the Oil workers union “Jesús Faría” (CCT-CV), were attacked in their own house by an armed group, being violently evicted and deprived of their personal belongings.

KKE condemns Greek Premier Mitsotakis over his support to Venezuelan coup leader Guaidó

In a statement published in 902 portal, the Press Bureau of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) condemns Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' expressed support to U.S-backed Venezuelan coup plotter Juan Guaido. Mitsotakis met with Guaido on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.

On Wednesday 13 November a group of hooded thugs entered the premises of the Bolivarian University in Caracas during the elections of the students council that was taking place.  The unknown men cowardly attacked members of the Communist Youth of Venezuela (Juventud Comunista de Venezuela), including José Daniel Ramos member of its National Directorate and a candidate for the students' council.

Anti-Imperialist Solidarity Conference: "People are rising up against savage capitalism"

A Solidarity Meeting for Democracy and against Neoliberalism, that took place in Havana over the weekend, with over 1,200 participants condemned the US economic, financial and trade blockade against Cuba and specially the harsh hostility of the Trump administration.

Leaders of left-wing organizations, progressive movements, labor unions, youth and students federations, intellectuals and academics from 90 nations attended the huge gathering.

Communist Party of Greece (KKE): Letter to the U.N. Secretary General about Venezuela

A delegation from the European Parliamentary Group of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) visited the offices of the United Nations (UN) in Brussels on Wednesday 11/9/2019, and delivered this letter to the Secretary-General of the UN Mr. Antonio Guterres, from the Parliamentary and European Parliamentary Group of the Party.

The letter denounces the interference of the USA and its allies in Venezuela and the threats of military intervention against the country, while it expresses the solidarity of the KKE with the Venezuelan people.

Greek anti-imperialists slam ND government's recognition of Venezuelan coup leader Guaido

Fully aligned with the US and EU imperialist policy, Greece's newly-elected conservative government of New Democracy (ND) has officially recognized US-backed coup plotter Juan Guaido as Venezuela's "interim President". 

This decision of Kyriakos Mitsotakis' government has already been denounced by progressive and anti-imperialist forces as an act that makes Greece an accomplice in the dangerous imperialist US-EU plans in the region. 

"This act supports the dirty intervention of the USA, the EU and their allies in Venezuela and it is directed against the legally elected President of the country and against the Venezuelan people as a whole" points out, among other things, the statement of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE). KKE denounces the recognition of US-puppet Juan Guaido by the Greek government

Earlier today, the Greek Foreign Ministry said the government recognized Juan Guaido as president of Venezuela "in order for him to call for free, fair and democratic presidential elections."

"The Government of the Hellenic Republic, in accordance with the common EU position in the statement of the EU High Representative/Vice President, Mrs Mogherini, on behalf of the EU28, decided to recognize the President of the democratically elected National Assembly, Juan Guaido as President a.i. of Venezuela, in order for him to call for free, fair and democratic presidential elections," a ministry statement said.

Cuban Foreign Minister slams U.S. aggression: "Bolton and Pompeo lie again and again"

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said today that lies are the basis of the aggressive escalation of the United States against Latin America.

'Bolton and Pompeo lie again and again (...) Accusations vs. #Cuba is a vulgar slander. Blackmail is unacceptable. They look for pretexts to intensify the blockade and hostility against the Island, 'the foreign minister wrote in his account on the social network Twitter.

Earlier, Rodriguez rejected the pronouncements of the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, who accused the largest of the Antilles of being 'the true imperialist power in Venezuela.'

Greece's SYRIZA government officially aligned with imperialists' position on Venezuela

The social democratic government of SYRIZA in Greece has openly endorsed the EU position for government change in Venezuela

In a message posted on Twitter, Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Katrougalos wrote: "In the crisis of Venezuela, Greece sides with Europe and the positions of High Representative of the EU F.Mongherini, which she co-shaped".

In a statement issued on Thursday 18 April, the Press Bureau of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) condemns the intensificiation of the U.S. imperialist aggression and threats against Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua and the people of Latin America.
More specifically the KKE points out:
The KKE denounces the threats, which the US Security Advisor, John Bolton, unleashed against the peoples of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, characterizing these countries as a "troika of tyranny" and "threats to the security of the region".

Cuba denounces the US-organized sabotage of Venezuelan electrical power system

Bernie Sanders: Just another "stooge" of US imperialism against Venezuela

The self-described as "democratic socialist", the "good friend" of the late warmonger John McCain and praiser of criminals like George H.W. Bush, Senator Bernie Sanders has already aligned himself with the reactionary, imperialist plans of the Trump administration and the right-wing Venezuelan opposition.
