The Berlin Wall: Exposing the lies of imperialism

It was 30 years ago, on 9 November 1989, when the destruction of the Berlin Wall began, marking the overthrow of the socialist power in the German Democratic Republic and the restoration of capitalism

Since then, the 9th of November consists a milestone for imperialists who organize various fiestas about the "fall of the wall" and the "reunification of Germany".

The 30th anniversary of the Berlin Wall fall coincides with the intensification of the European Union's anti-communist campaign which includes the hideous and unhistorical equation of communism with nazism. Last September, the EU Parliament adopted an utterly despicable resolution, full of anti-communist slanders, that violently distorts history.

The murder of Jamal Khashoggi highlights the hypocrisy of the imperialists

The alleged murder of Jamal Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist, in the Consulate of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul has made headlines. Washington Post writer and a former newspaper editor in Saudi Arabia, Khashoggi had been an advisor of Prince Turki al-Faisal, former Saudi intelligence chief, and has also been close to billionaire investor Prince Alwaleed bin Talal.

According to Middle East specialists, there are deeper subplots played into Khashoggi’s death — ties to Saudi intelligence and his relationship with the Islamist group known as "the Muslim Brotherhood". Greek debt deal: KKE slams government's celebrations, warns of new harsh policies

“The government's celebrations can not hide that yesterday's Eurogroup agreement is essentially a post-memorandum Memorandum [of austerity]. The so-called "post-memorandum" period, not only will not be accompanied by substantial relief for the working-class strata but will involve new burdens. The huge budget surpluses, the rigid surveillance and approval of the process of "reforms" by the "institutions", the privatizations, the preservation of all antipeople measures in the Memorandums, and the completion of all those “remaining issues” reveal the true outcome of the agreement" points out the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) in a statement on the Eurogroup decision on Greek debt.
