Not Populism, Not Socialism, but Communism Will Get It Done

By Charles Andrews.

The ruling classes of developed countries get a lot of pushback these days from the masses they hold in contempt. The voters whom U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton insulted as “deplorables” went and put Donald Trump in the Oval office in 2016, daring to elect someone who was not a vetted ruler of capitalism. Then his near opposite, self-identified socialist Bernie Sanders, came back stronger than ever for the 2020 presidential primaries. Socialism has become a recognized political stance that cannot be red-baited off the stage.

More than a third of U.S. millennials approve of communism-socialism

The decades-long filthy anti-communist propaganda by the imperialist mechanisms in the United States doesn't seem to be very successful. Despite the tones of anti-communist lies and history's falsification, which was strengthened after the counterrevolutionary events in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, young Americans "don't buy the fairytale" anymore.

Ho Chi Minh — How I became a communist

Ho Chi Minh (Nguyen Tat Thanh), 1890-1969.
Published in April 1960 in a Soviet journal entitled Problems of the East. Selected Works, vol. 4 (Hanoi: Foreign Languages Publishing House, 1962).

After World War I, I made my living in Paris, now as a retoucher at a photographer’s, now as painter of “Chinese antiquities” (made in France!). I would distribute leaflets denouncing the crimes committed by the French colonialists in Viet Nam.

At that time, I supported the October Revolution only instinctively, not yet grasping all its historic importance. I loved and admired Lenin because he was a great patriot who liberated his compatriots; until then, I had read none of his books.

KKE denounces the unhistorical anti-communist fiestas of the European Union

The KKE MEPs, Lefteris Nikolaou and Kostas Papadakis.
Once again the European Union and the governments of the Baltic countries have promoted the commemoration of August 23rd as a "European Day of Remembrance for the victims of totalitaranism and authoritarian regimes".

Towards this direction, they reproduce the unhistorical and dangerous equation of communism with fascism.

In statement published in 902 portal, the delegation of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) in the European Parliament denounces the unhistorical and anti-communist fiestas of the EU.

“Comrades, hold the flag high! Hope lies in the people's struggle!”

It was December 26, 1991 when the red flag with the sickle and hammer was lowered from the Kremlin.

During these cold days of the Russian winter, the first socialist state in the world - the fatherland of every working man and woman- was bending under the weight of the counterrevolution. The imperialists and their allies- opportunists, social democrats, euro-communists, etc- were talking about the ultimate end of Socialism, the "end of history", the "defeat of marxism" and the triumph of the capitalist system.

Nazim Hikmet: “One religion, one law, one right: the labour of the worker”

The great Turkish Communist poet, Nazım Hikmet, died on 3 June 1963 in Moscow. He was an extraordinary personality, not only for his country but for whole world.

A consistent marxist-leninist who never betrayed his beliefs. A real internationalist and a true patriot. A man who, through his unique writing skills and inspiration, became a symbol: A poet of the world's proletariat.

The flame of Hikmet's magnificent poetry which set hearts on fire can not be extinguished, as long as there are people who continue the struggle for a better world, without exploitation of man by man.

Born in 1902, Nazim Hikmet was always present, through his poems and writings, in the major issues of his times. His heart - "one red apple" - was beating in the rhythm of the class struggle, of the fight against injustice and oppression.
