“Against the background of the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people by the Israeli state, the tangible dangers of a generalization of the conflict throughout the Middle East, the massacre in Ukraine and NATO’s arrangements regarding Greece–Türkiye relations, the Mitsotakis–Blinken meeting aims at deepening Greece’s involvement in the dangerous US-NATO plans and interventions in the region.
Apparently, part of these dangerous plans is also the arms race in Greece and Türkiye, which has nothing to do with the country’s defence, as is amply demonstrated these days with the dispatch of another frigate to the eye of the storm, i.e. the Red Sea, which is thousands of kilometres away from the country’s borders. The Greek people will be called upon to pay dearly for these armaments, under the responsibility of the ND government and the other parties that voted for the so-called defence spending.
Therefore, the statements about Greece–USA bilateral relations being at their best, actually mean that the dangers to the people and the sovereign rights of our country are greater than ever.
Now it is necessary to strengthen our people’s vigilance and opposition to these plans, to strengthen the struggle for the return home of the armed forces that are deployedoutside the country’s borders, for the termination of missions abroad, for the closure of US-NATO bases, for Greek territory to stop being used as a launching padfor wars against other peoples.”

Las alusiones a unas relaciones “más fuertes que nunca” entre Grecia y EE.UU significan peligros para el pueblo y los derechos soberanos del país
El KKE llama al pueblo a estar vigilante y oponerse a los planes de EE.UU y la OTAN.
La Oficina de Prensa del Comité Central del KKE en su comunicado sobre el encuentro de Mitsotakis y Blinken destaca que:
“Con el telón de fondo del genocidio del pueblo palestino que está en curso por el Estado de Israel, los peligros visibles de generalización del conflicto en todo el Oriente Medio, la masacre en Ucrania y los arreglos que está promoviendo la OTAN en las relaciones greco-turcas, el encuentro de Mitsotakis y Blinken tiene como objetivo fortalecer la implicación de Grecia en los planes y las intervenciones peligrosas de EE.UU y la OTAN en la región.
Al parecer, una parte de estos planes peligrosos concierne la carrera de armamentos en Grecia y Turquía, que no tiene nada que ver con la defensa del país, como se ha demostrado claramente estos días con el envío de una fragata más en la “boca del lobo”, a miles de kilómetros de las fronteras del país, al Mar Rojo. Se trata de armamento que, bajo la responsabilidad del gobierno de la ND así como de los demás partidos que votaron a favor de los llamados “gastos de defensa”, el pueblo griego será llamado a pagar muy caro.
Por lo tanto, las alusiones a unas relaciones “más fuertes que nunca” entre Grecia y EE.UU en realidad significan que los peligros para el pueblo y sus derechos soberanos son mayores que nunca.
Ahora es necesario que nuestro pueblo refuerce su vigilancia y oposición a estos planes, que refuerce la lucha para el regreso de las fuerzas armadas que están más allá de las fronteras, para que no se lleven a cabo otras misiones, para que se cierren las bases de EE.UU-OTAN, para que el suelo griego deje de ser utilizado como cabeza de puente militar a expensas de los demás pueblos”.

КПГ призывает греческий народ к бдительности и противодействию американо-натовским планам
В заявлении пресс-службы ЦК Компартии Греции по поводу встречи Мицотакиса и Блинкена говорится:
«На фоне продолжающегося геноцида палестинского народа со стороны Государства Израиль, зримых рисков распространения конфликта на весь Ближний Восток, кровавой бойни на Украине и урегулирования греко-турецких отношений в рамках НАТО, встреча Мицотакиса и Блинкена свидетельствует об углублении участия Греции в опасных американо-натовских планах и военных операциях США-НАТО в регионе.
Очевидно, что частью этих опасных замыслов является и гонка вооружений между Грецией и Турцией, не имеющая ничего общего с обороноспособностью страны, подтверждением которой в эти дни является отправка очередного фрегата в Красное море, в «волчью пасть», за тысячи километров от границ страны, а также одобрение правительством НД и другими партиями так называемых «расходов на оборону», за которые придётся дорого платить греческому народу.
Следовательно, ссылки на «более крепкие, чем когда-либо» отношения между Грецией и США в действительности означают, что рисков для народа, а также суверенных прав страны становится больше, чем когда-либо.
Сегодня нашему народу необходимо усилить бдительность и противодействие этим планам, усилить борьбу за возвращение вооружённых сил, находящихся за рубежом, против отправки новой миссии, за закрытие военных американо-натовских баз, против использования территории Греции в качестве военного плацдарма в ущерб другим народам».
